Darling Harbour King Street Upgrade
The Darling Harbour Terminal upgrade is now complete and this may mean changes to your journey.
New ticket barrier gates, ticket machines and digital signage is now in operation, along with improved customer facilities, maps and timetable information.
Darling Harbour Terminal is serviced by the Darling Harbour and Parramatta River ferry routes and is wheelchair accessible.
Ticketing Questions
Where can I purchase a ticket?
From selected PrePay outlets prior to boarding (look for the purple PrePay flag) or from the Ticket Vending Machines (TVM) on the Wharf.
Are concessions tickets available from the TVMs?
Yes, all concessions tickets are available. A valid concession card is required to travel with a concession ticket.
What are the payment options?
Cash - TVMs accept 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 coins, and $5, $10, $20 and $50 notes with a maximum of $19.90 given in change.
$50 notes can only be used to purchase tickets with a value of $30.10 or higher, if you use a $50 note for a ticket of less value the note will be returned to you.
Cards - TVMs accept credit cards and debit cards with a PIN. AMEX cards are not accepted.
I purchased the wrong ticket, what do I do?
Please see gate staff for a Customer Refund form which you can complete and send to Sydney Ferries.
If you are travelling to Circular Quay on that day you can also seek a refund at a ticket window at wharves 2 to 5 at Circular Quay.
Darling Harbour Terminal does not have register or refund facilities on-site.
The TVM is closed or malfunctioning, what do I do?

Where do I validate my ticket?
Validate your ticket when going through the barrier gates.
I have a paper ticket purchased on board from a cashier, how do I get through the barrier gates?
Please hand your paper ticket to the gate staff.
I have a damaged ticket, how do I get through the barrier gates?
