Taronga Zoo
Taronga Zoo, Sydney, is one of the most beautiful zoos in the world, with spectacular views over Sydney Harbour, and home to the largest native and exotic animal collection in NSW.
In particular, one of the most endangered animals is now a little less endangered with the recent birth of THREE precious Sumatran Tiger cubs you can visit. They grow quickly, so don’t miss your chance to see them, especially while they’re still young.
You can also see our eight Asian Elephants at play, watch the spectacular QBE Free Flight Bird Show and the Ausgrid Seal Show, see lions and rare Snow Leopards, or penguins and other amazing marine life and enjoy the recently restored heritage-listed Taronga Main Entrance building and plaza.
Discover why Taronga Zoo is Sydney's favourite attraction, and the winner of the NSW Tourism Award for Major Tourist Attractions 2010 AND 2011, as well as 'Best Major Attraction' at the 2011 national Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.
Just 12 minutes from the city by ferry, the zoo offers many unforgettable keeper talks and shows a day, free with admission.
Open 9am-5pm every day, including School Holidays.
