  • The Watsons Bay ferry service will not operate on 26 January 2011 due to the Ferrython harbour exclusion zone.
  • Customers are advised to use the Trip Planner on this site or call 131 500 to make alternative travel arrangements for this date.

Australia Day is generally the busiest day of the year for Sydney Ferries. Please make sure that you plan ahead, including planning alternative travel arrangements should scheduled ferry services reach capacity.

What is there to see and do around Sydney on Australia Day?

Where can I view the Ferrython?

The exciting Australia Day Ferrython starts from Fort Denison, around Shark Island and finishes at the Harbour Bridge. The event kicks off at 11.00am and finishes at 12.00pm.

Can I purchase tickets from Sydney Ferries to go on a Ferry participating in the Ferrython?

The Australia Day Ferrython is Sydney Festival event. Unfortunately at this stage Sydney Ferries is not selling tickets to the Ferrython in 2011. Members of the public however are invited to witness the Ferrython for free from Circular Quay and other vantage points around Sydney Harbour.
