The NSW Government through Transport NSW / Transport Info 131 500 has commenced a trial of Twitter to alert passengers when significant disruptions occur so they can make informed choices about how best to travel.
Simply follow the right Twitter account for the transport mode you travel - the 131 500 Ferries twitter can be accessed at: http://twitter.com/131500ferries
Alerts about significant disruptions of more than 10 minutes will be broadcast to commuters during weekdays 6am-7pm, as well as details of travel news and service information.
As this is a trial Transport NSW would appreciate customer feedback on the Twitter service. You can use the www.131500.com.au website feedback form to give detailed feedback – but be sure to mention Twitter in the comments.
