Catch the Manly Ferry to the Manly Jazz Festival this October Long Weekend (Posted: 27-Sep-2011)
Presented by Manly Council, the festival is a major event in the Australian annual jazz calendar and takes place in the heart of Manly. This year's festival will feature many notable jazz performers from both Australia and overseas including bebop legend Charles McPherson (USA) and Tricia Evy (France).
Enjoy free jazz entertainment presented each day throughout five stage areas, namely the Manly Wharf Forecourt, the Council Chambers Forecourt, Markets by the Sea Stage, The John Speight Stage, and the Ocean beachfront.
Festival Opening Details
The festival will be officially opened by the Mayor of Manly following a New Orleans style parade led by the Bogalusa Strutters from Manly Ferry Wharf to the Ocean Beachfront Stage on The Steyne promenade from 11.30am on Saturday 1 October.
Getting to the Festival
And what better way to travel to the festival than on the Famous Manly Ferry? Services depart approximately every half hour from Wharf 3, Circular Quay.
