Save time and money - Buy longer term MyMulti tickets online (Posted: 09-Jun-2011)

From 1 July 2011, costomers using MyMulti tickets, which cover travel across trains, buses and ferries, will save even more under the new pricing deal.

MyMulti Customers will receive additional savings of $9 on a monthly ticket, $25 on a quarterly ticket, and $100 on a yearly ticket. This can mean savings of up to 27% if you currently buy a regular MyMulti Weekly ticket!

For MyMulti1 customers, the additional savings equates to a comparative weekly price of $38.80 (when buying a Monthly ticket), $33.20 (Quarterly ticket) or $29.60 (for a Yearly ticket).*

Long-term MyMulti concession tickets are not available.

Avoid the queues

Save time and avoid the queues by purchasing and managing your long-life tickets online! Customers can pre-purchase and specify a future commencement date by buying securely online. You also have the option of registering your ticket should you loose it, or it is damaged or stolen.

Buying online

Tickets at the new discounted fares may be purchased online from 14 June 2011 (for travel on 1 July 2011 or later).

You can still purchase tickets at the current fare online, but only for travel commencing before 12 June 2011. You may consider deferring the start of your next longer term ticket until 1 July to take advantage of the new fares. You can do this by buying a 7 or 14 Day ticket at your local station for the interim period, for example.

Refunds

Customers who have already purchased a monthly, quarterly or yearly MyTrain or MyMulti ticket may wish to apply for a refund online and then buy a ticket at the new discounted fares. Please note that normal refund conditions and fees apply.

* Calculations are based on the current prices for the MyMulti Weekly (7 day), Monthly (28 day), Quarterly (90 day) and Yearly (365 day) tickets. The discounted fare is calculated by comparing 'per day' prices of the longer term tickets with the 'per day' prices of the MyMulti Weekly. Discounts are rounded up to the nearest 10 cents.

For example, a MyMulti1 Monthly is $155 for 28 days = $5.53 per day. Then $5.53 x 7 days equals $38.71 - rounded up to $38.80. The normal MyMulti1 weekly is $41.00. The discount of $2.20 in this instance represents a 5.4% saving. The same calculations are then applied for MyMulti2 and 3, and the Quarterly and Yearly tickets.
