Sydney Ferries has a long and proud record of supporting a multitude of worthwhile causes and is continuing this practice.
Sydney Ferries strongly rejects recent media reports suggesting it has stopped providing support to charitable causes.
Sydney Ferries has a long and proud record of supporting a multitude of worthwhile causes and is continuing this practice.
We are currently doing an audit on our considerable donations, giveaways and other forms of charitable contributions to ensure we provide an equitable distribution of those funds across the entire community.
While this audit is underway we continue to consider all charity requests on a case by case basis and support as many of these as is reasonable and possible.
A recent example of this was our support of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead's Bandaged Bear Day, along with similar events throughout the year, with Sydney Ferries' staff collecting considerable funds for this great cause.
Gillian Paxton, Director of Community Relations for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, volunteered her support for the work done by Sydney Ferries.
‘Over many years Sydney Ferries has supported us both financially and through a variety of campaigns and events. They are a major support to us and make a significant difference to the care we are able to provide to sick children,’ said Ms Paxton
Sydney Ferries supports a wide number and varied range of charitable events throughout the year and we make charitable donations to a range of community groups, business partners and other community stakeholders.
Other recent donations include free ferry services to the Police Citizens Youth Club fundraiser as well as participating in the much loved annual Australia Day Ferrython.
Sydney Ferries will continue to provide as much support to as many worthwhile causes as is reasonable and practical.
