Where can I purchase a ticket?
Ferry tickets can be purchased from
- Sydney Ferries ticket outlets at Circular Quay and Manly
- Ticket machines at Circular Quay and Darling Harbour Terminal
- The Cafe on board the Manly Ferry
- A cashier on board some Sydney Ferry services (such as the Parramatta River services)
- Third party Pre-Pay ticket resellers.
Validating tickets when travelling through intermediary wharves
Tickets used through intermediary wharves are marked off by pen using the 1-10 check boxes along the side of the ticket. The deck-hand onboard the ferry can mark off/date tickets using a special pen, so you can have your fare recognised. Show your ticket during your journey or as you disembark.
A cashier or crew member may punch a hole in the magnetic strip of a ticket to ensure it cannot also be validated further through ticket validation gates. In this instance, you can still travel to wharves with ticket gates. Just hand your ticket to gate staff at to have the ticket marked off.

Remember to travel with a valid ticket and always carry a valid concession card when travelling with a concession ticket.
