Parramatta River Proposed Timetable
Changes are proposed to the ferry timetable to make the best possible match of services with customer needs. The changes take into account suggestions received in response to the recent “Have your say” initiative, seeking feedback from customers about the River Express service changes introduced in November 2009.
The main changes proposed to Parramatta River services are:
- Retention of 7.00am and 8.00am RiverExpress services, with extra stops at Cabarita and Abbotsford. The 9.00am service has been modified to now depart at 9.30am.
- Changes to journey time to comply with new speed restrictions in Darling Harbour.
- Rydalmere, Sydney Olympic Park, Meadowbank, Kissing Point, Cabarita and Abbotsford wharves would gain extra services to King Street Darling Harbour.
- The all stops service to Rydalmere in the off peak period is now co-ordinated with the River Express services. Passengers from intermediate River wharves would be able to conveniently transfer at Rydalmere to catch the River Express service to Parramatta. Transfers can also be made at Rydalmere on the return journey to Circular Quay.
- Extended evening services on weekdays and Saturdays, including later inbound services to Circular Quay from Meadowbank, Kissing Point, Cabarita, Abbotsford, Chiswick, Huntleys Point and Drummoyne.
