Accessibility

Accessible Transport Action Plan

To meet the travelling needs of people with a disability, transport agencies are developing infrastructure, transport services and access to information that is fully accessible. Full accessibility can only be achieved by the progressive removal of barriers so that the entire community can share in the benefits of the transport system.

The Accessible Transport Action Plan is available to view and download from the NSW Transport and Infrastructure website.

Wheelchair Access on Sydney Ferries Wharves

The entire Sydney Ferries fleet is wheelchair accessible via one of the 22 wheelchair accessible ferry wharves.

Please note: access to wharves is dependent on tidal and safety conditions. For information about low tides please visit the Bureau of Meteorology tidal website.

Sydney Ferries has a wheelchair which is available for short-term customer use in the vicinity of Circular Quay wharves if required. If you require a wheelchair to transfer between wharves or to Circular Quay train station, please speak to a Sydney Ferries staff member at your closest wharf. If the wheelchair is available, they can make arrangements for it to be brought to you.

If you have any questions about accessibility on Sydney Ferries vessels or wharves please call Transport Info on 131 500 or Sydney Ferries Customer Relations on +612 9246 8363 (Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm).
